Three Kannapolis pitchers combined for a seven-inning no-hitter in the back end of a doubleheader. Might that bode well for the White Sox as they embark on a true doubleheader of their own tonight?

      • Dayan Viciedo went 1-for-4, but hey -- no strikeouts.
      • Tyler Flowers was 0-for-3 with a strikeout.
      • Jordan Danks tripled and struck out twice over four ABs.
      • Brent Morel went 1-for-3 with a double and a K.
      • Lucas Harrell had a nice start: 7 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 K.
    • Birmingham 11, Huntsville 10
      • Josh Phegley went 2-for-4 with a strikeout and three RBI.
      • Christian Marrero had two singles and a walk in five trips to the plate.
      • Eduardo Escobar was 1-for-5 with a double, RBI and K.
      • Kyle Bellamy walked two and fanned two over 1 1/3 innings.
    • Winston-Salem 9, Potomac 8
      • Jose Martinez was hitless in five at-bats, striking out twice.
      • Jon Gilmore walked twice and struck out one in an 0-for-3 night.
      • Nathan Jones didn't have much: 4 2/3 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 2 K.

      • Trayce Thompson went 2-for-2 with a double and an HBP.
      • Tyler Saladino singled twice and struck out once.
      • Juan Silverio hit a three-run homer and struck out.
      • Cameron Bayne went the distance without a strikeout: one earned run on five hits and a walk.

      • Matt Wickswat, Jacob Petricka (1 IP, 1 BB, 2 K) and Taylor Thompson combined for a no-hitter.
