In a season where the White Sox prospect list has been ravaged by injuries, slumps and trades, Brent Morel has handled every challenge thrown his way.
A 2-for-4 night (including his seventh homer) gives Morel 15 hits in his last 34 at-bats, raising his Charlotte line to .321/.350/.498, even though he's been playing mostly shortstop since Dayan Viciedo's demotion. The scouts weren't lying about his acumen.

- Josh Phegley went 1-for-4 with a strikout.
- Kyle Bellamy threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out one.
- Gregory Infante limited the damage to a hit in his scoreless inning, with one K as well.

- Daniel Black had two of the Sox's five hits, including a triple. He also struck out twice.

- Michael Blanke was a homer away from the cycle, going 3-for-5 with three RBI.
- Andy Wilkins went 1-for-4 with a double, two walks and two strikeouts.
- Ross Wilson was 0-for-2 with two walks, a sac bunt and an HBP.
- Steven Upchurch allowed five runs on seven hits over six innings, with no walks and one strikeout.
