In the wake of the feel-good 21 hits of the summer, this edition of the Christian Marrero Reading Room contains lighter fare.
*Over at South Side Sox, you must read Rhubarb's tearjerking short story, "Der Twain Urn Heavern." It involves Lutherans, model railroading, hotdishes and everything else that makes Twins fans tick.
*Similarly laughtastic, Carl figures out why Ozzie Guillen thinks he doesn't need Jim Thome.
*Going out on a limb, I'm guessing this same headline has been used on Andruw Jones at multiple points over the last three years.
*Omar Vizquel thinks he can play another year, and I say, "Why not?" That diving stab he made on Thursday night was one of those plays that makes me think UZR is understating him a little. His first step quick enough for him to get a second and third in before he had to hit the dirt.
*The Royals-Indians game on Thursday night drew just 9,732 fans, which is a season-low at Kauffman Stadium.
