Results! South Side Satisfaction Survey, pitchers

The pitchers' portion of the South Side Satisfaction Survey only drew about two-thirds of the votes the position players' half did, but the people who did participate were kinder almost all the way across the board.

Chris Sale: 9.00

My score: 10
White Sox first-round picks Sale has already outproduced: Joe Borchard, Aaron Poreda, Lance Broadway, Kyle McCulloch, Royce Ring, Kris Honel, Jason Stumm, among others.

Matt Thornton: 8.25

My score: 9
If he didn't give up that walk-off homer to Jim Thome, I'm guessing he'd be markedly higher.

Sergio Santos: 7.70

My score: 9
Last year: 8.16 ERA, 1.99 WHIP, 1.50 K/BB
This year: 2.96 ERA, 1.529 WHIP, 2.15 K/BB
I'm glad to see the novelty hasn't worn off yet, because he's still an amazing story.

Freddy Garcia: 7.52

My score: 8
Garcia had by far the lowest expectations, so he gets the benefit of a handicap. Still, he threw more innings in 2010 (157) than he did in over the previous three seasons (129).

John Danks: 7.51

My score: 8
The White Sox' most consistent starter all year gets his due. He may never reach that first tier of AL lefties, but he's reliable.

Edwin Jackson: 7.36

My score: 8
Only one person appears to really hold the loss of Daniel Hudson against him.

J.J. Putz: 7.12

My score: 7
It's a shame he didn't peak later than he did, but coming off elbow surgery, he was one of the best relief deals out there.

Gavin Floyd: 6.23

My score: 6
We like Floyd better than Joe Cowley does, apparently.

Mark Buehrle: 6.06

My score: 6
The first guy without a 9, Buehrle didn't really capture the imagination this year, but he was solid.

Tony Pena: 5.19

My score: 3

This was the graph I anticipated the most, and it didn't let me down. I can't make up my mind whether Pena will be non-tendered.

Lucas Harrell: 4.02

My score: 3

Harrell exceeded very low expectations and picked up his first career victory in an emergency start. Unlike George Costanza, he didn't leave the audience wanting more.

Gregory Infante: 3.99

My score: 4

Infante was off the radar at the start of the season, and a September call-up at the end. Good season, but needs to throw more strikes to bad major-league hitters.

Bobby Jenks: 3.98

My score: 3

Looks like most people are content with the Jenks Era coming to an end.

Carlos Torres: 3.54

My score: 2

I like when a graph has two separate peaks. Looks like a group of people thought he did OK, and another considers him nothing more than a AAAA starter.

Jake Peavy: 3.20

My score: 2
I was harder on Peavy than most. I thought he could get injured or pitch unimpressively, but not both.

Scott Linebrink: 2.99

My score: 2
The crowd seemed to be more favorable to pitchers than hitters, and Linebrink might benefit more than anybody .
