Guest: Harry Pavlidis, Baseball Prospectus

Pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training this week which gives us an opportunity to nerd out what is happening on the mound. Our good friend Harry Pavlidis of Baseball Prospectus joins the show to share the latest on pitch tunnels, why we will see more breaking pitches in 2018, breakdown PECOTA's 2018 projection for the White Sox, and introduce three new pitching stats: Power, Command, and Stamina. Harry will also give a reason why the White Sox could be a .500 team, and why the White Sox could have a worse record than last year.

In the end, we answer your questions in P.O. Sox:

What does Carson Fulmer need to do this spring to maintain his rotation spot this season? If that fails, who's coming up after him if Kopech isn't ready.

Any reason to think Adolfo wont be ready to start by '20 or '21? WS this year, Bham next and Charlotte / Chicago after that seems possible.

Bill Wiggins via Patreon:
Without the elite prospects we received in trades, we would have a very poor farm system despite high drafts picks. I think it’s because lack of money spent on scouting, what are your thoughts?
Hunter Rojas via Patreon:
Having seen Dee Gordon get moved to CF in the trade to the Mariners, do you think that Yolmer could get moved out to CF in 2019 if Tilson, Engel, Cordel, and crew are unable to show that they can become at least 1 WAR players? Having seen Alexi start his career there, it seems like a possibility.
Patreon edition bonus P.O. Sox question from Brett Bobysud:

Given the fact that BP's PECOTA projections had only one team in the division with a +.500 record, is the AL Central the worst division in baseball at the moment?
