Michael Kopech pitched tonight for Charlotte in Buffalo, and Carlos Rodon remains on the schedule to start for the Knights on Sunday, which means means both pitchers are out of play for the White Sox' doubleheader on Tuesday.
With an off day on Monday, the Sox can theoretically start two incumbent starters on Tuesday (it'd be Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez if the schedule holds), then introduce Rodon on Friday without putting anybody else on short rest.
Kopech could also be in the picture, although he likely removed himself from any immediate plans with an ugly outing against the Bisons tonight. He threw a measly 23 of 53 pitches for strikes, issuing four walks on top of five hits over just two innings of work. He even had an error on a pickoff throw to first.
Hopefully it's a night that he just throws away, and hopefully it doesn't set a precedent for Rodon in what is hopefully his last rehab start.
