With the second half of the minor league season underway, both Baseball America and MLB.com updated their top 100 prospect lists.
Dylan Cease jumped more than anybody. He's back on BA's board at No. 100 after falling off the list before the season, giving the Sox six prospects in the mix. He rose even higher on the MLB list. Jim Callis and Co. were the highest on Cease entering the season, and now he's jumped even further, going from No. 52 to No. 43.
Dane Dunning also jumped six spots on the latter list to No. 56, and Zack Collins came from off the board to establish himself at No. 99.
The Sox now have eight prospects on MLB.com's list -- Eloy Jimenez (4), Michael Kopech (12), Luis Robert (26), Cease (43), Alec Hansen (49), Dunning (56) and Blake Rutherford (85) preceding Collins (corrected). I'm guessing that number will remain the same after the most recent crop of draft picks are added, with Collins getting bumped out by Nick Madrigal, among others.
