A few news items from Friday:

*Dylan Cease and Luis Alexander Basabe will represent the White Sox in the Futures Game during the All-Star break. The game will be played at Nationals Park in Washington at 3 p.m. CT on Sunday, July 15.

*Blake Rutherford was back in the Winston-Salem lineup after getting banged-up falling over the short wall in BB&T Ballpark's right field on Wednesday.

*Nicky Delmonico began his rehab stint with Birmingham, and he struck out in both of his plate appearances. He hadn't played since May 18 after a fastball broke his finger.

Gwinnett 12, Charlotte 0

    • Jose Rondon singled, walked and struck out twice.
    • Seby Zavala went 1-for-4 with a strikeout
    • Carson Fulmer hit a wall in the sixth, and Ricardo Pinto made it hurt: 5 IP, 10 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 HR, 1 HBP, 3 WP

Birmingham 3, Chattanooga 1

    • Joel Booker went 2-for-5 with a double and a strikeout.
    • Luis Alexander Basabe was 1-for-4 with two strikeouts.
    • Nicky Delmonico began his rehab stint by striking out in both plate appearances.
    • Jameson Fisher replaced him by singling, striking out and swiping a base.
    • Zach Collins went 1-for-4 with a homer and two strikeouts.
    • Danny Mendick, 0-for-3 with walk and two strikeouts.
    • Alex Call went 1-for-3 with a double, walk and strikeout.
    • Dylan Cease: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 9 K, 64 of 111 pitches for strikes.

Winston-Salem 4, Down East 2

    • Luis Gonzalez went 1-for-3 with a homer and a sac fly.
    • Laz Rivera, 0-for-4 with a strikeout and a steal.
    • Blake Rutherford is back in action, going 1-for-3 with a walk.
    • Micker Adolfo and Gavin Sheets were both 1-for-4 with a strikeout.
    • Ti'Quan Forbes was 1-for-3.

Missoula 6, Great Falls 5

    • Lenyn Sosa went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
    • Corey Zangari was 0-for-4.
    • Amado Nunez, 1-for-3 with a double and a walk. He also stole a base.
    • Romy Gonzalez doubled, singled and struck out twice.
    • Jhoandro Alfaro went 2-for-4 with a double.

DSL Reds 6, DSL White Sox 5

    • Jose Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with a double.
    • Jefferson Mendoza, 1-for-3 with a double and a walk.
