Former White Sox pitcher Dylan Cease

Dylan Cease gave up a run in the first inning against Tennessee, but he made the Smokies work for it.

    • Walk
    • Walk
    • Strikeout
    • Throwing error on pickoff, allowing runner to take third.
    • RBI single
    • Strikeout
    • Strikeout

Or maybe the Smokies made him work for it. He threw 42 pitches, and Birmingham Barons manager Ryan Newman decided that was enough.

It seems legit, since Cease is already 25 innings past his career high with 119. But I suppose it'll truly be settled when he makes his next start, assuming it's on normal rest.
