Every since Eloy Jimenez's Players' Tribune post went live, he's backed it up with his performance. He's 12-for-18 with a triple, two doubles and a walk over the four games since he declared "I'm Ready," and it's part of an equally scorching seven-game streak (.621/.633/.759).
After a 4-for-4 game that raised his average to .378, Our Man in Charlotte Jonathan Lee asked Jimenez about that post, and it gave a simple explanation:
Eloy Jimenez wrote a much discussed feature for the Players Tribune last week where he exclaimed "I'm ready." He explains why he did it. @SoxMachine @FutureSox pic.twitter.com/gbPtCdXNa9

If you can't hear the audio, Jimenez said, "I just said 'I'm ready' because I feel it." Evidently.
