The White Sox did make one move before the trade deadline. It was another exchange of international pool money for a left-handed relief prospect from an AL East team.
This time, it was Hunter Schryver, who would be much more interesting if he were named Hyntyr Schryvyr. As it stands, he's a 23-year-old from Villanova drafted by the Rays in the seventh round of the 2017 draft (senior signing). He's had a decent year, with 59 strikeouts to 55 baserunners over 48⅔ innings and a 2.40 ERA across Low-A Bowling Green and High-A Charlotte (Florida League).
As is usually the case with these things, it's more scouting than stats. The White Sox sent $1 million to the Rays.
