Saturday was was not a fun one from the White Sox' right-handed pitching depth.
Injured: Jimmy Lambert
Lambert, who hadn't started since a third consecutive subpar outing on June 3, has been on the shelf with a strained right forearm. The White Sox said he'll be reevaluated in the coming weeks.
Gone: Jordan Stephens
The White Sox tried to sneak him through waivers, but Cleveland ended up claiming him. Stephens plateaued as a starter in Charlotte during the second half of his 2018 season, then missed time early before coming back as a reliever. The performance hadn't rebounded, but FanGraphs says his velocity is back, so we might not have seen the last of him.
