The White Sox snapped a four-game losing streak, and all it took was a second crack at scoring on a center fielder throwing batting practice in the 15th inning, after their attempt to break the tie in the 14th was foiled by a pitcher playing a Gold Glove left field and a third baseman laying out to rob Carson Fulmer of his first career hit.
Said pitcher -- Vince Velasquez -- tried his damndest to keep the game tied with another on-target throw that Leury García barely beat with a slide around J.T. Realmuto, and then a diving catch on Eloy Jiménez's sinking liner to end the inning. Give him a few more reps and he might actually look like he belongs out there.
Anyway, it should be pretty simple from here on out.
