Luis Robert's birthday was just another day for him, in the sense that he spent it proving that Triple-A pitching isn't teaching him anything.
Robert, now 22, went 3-for-5 with a double in Charlotte's 6-4 victory over Gwinnett. Here's the double:

"He swings at the first pitch of the game 90 percent of the time -- sometimes he gets a hit, sometimes he doesn't," Menechino said. "He is focused on hitting the ball that's over the plate and he's doing a good job of it now." [...]
