We are just days away from the 2020 Major League Baseball Draft, which will see 160 college and prep players drafted June 10-11. This draft will be the first activity for MLB since spring training, and they are amplifying the event by having a dual broadcast on MLB Network and ESPN. You may see video from Sox Machine during the ESPN broadcast, and we’ll be streaming our 2020 MLB Draft Show.
There have been some updates to the player rankings for this draft. If you missed the first release, below are the rankings of draft-eligible prospects with an average rating by consolidating lists from FanGraphs, ESPN, MLBPipeline, and Baseball America. Currently, rumors are heavy that college players could be taken early with prep players slipping to later in the first round or early second round. To help sort these two groups, we have included where each player ranks by the college or high school level. Those players without a ranking are from a junior college.
