Free Agents:
No. 1: Joc Pederson 1 year $8 million
Sox are looking for lefties with pop and Joc can fill that nicely in RF as a platoon with Engel
No. 2: Carlos Rodon 2 years $40 million
Never would have thought the sox could get rodon for this price, but after his injury struggles to end the season teams might be scared to offer rodon a big contract. With a good 20M AAV I think the sox can get Rodon back for this price
No. 3: Yan Gomes 2 years $4 million
Yan Gomes is an experienced vet that would be a great backup catcher to provide better defense than Zavala and Collins did last year
No. 4: Collin McHugh 2 years $8 million
Collin McHugh had a great season for the Rays in 2021 and would be a great fit for the Sox. He’s a hometown kid as well.
Trades
No. 1: Trade Andrew Vaughn, Tanner McDougal, and Micker Adolfo to the Diamondbacks for Ketel Marte
Ketel Marte is one of the best and most versatile players in the mlb. He has an affordable deal for the next 3 years and would help the sox greatly at 2B. It sucks to give up Vaughn but this team isn’t versatile enough and Marte helps that.
No. 2: Craig Kimbrel to the Phillies for Jose Alvarado and Mickey Moniak.
The Phillies get the closer they’ve been looking for and the White Sox still get a solid lefty reliever back and a former top prospect.
No. 3: Dallas Keuchel and $6M to the Angels for Jack Mayfield and Luke Bard
Pure salary dump to get rid of Keuchel and have $9M to be able to spend elsewhere.

With this roster I think I solve the problem of there not being enough versatility and too many bad fielding players. The lineup and rotation are very deep and is plenty capable of winning a World Series in 2022
