Good morning!
First things first: Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. For those of you who do not, I hope you are still able to have a relaxing day and that you are fortunate enough to have some time off around the holidays. Personally, I'm hoping Santa brought me Joe Posnanski's The Baseball 100; time will tell.
At any rate, today's Sporcle will celebrate Nellie Fox, who was born on this day in 1927 in St. Thomas, PA. Whenever I think of Fox, I think of all the singles he hit over his career: of his 2,663 hits, 2,161 of them were of the single base variety. For those of you playing along at home, that accounts for 81.1% of his career hits.
Today, I task with you naming other White Sox players with a bunch of singles in their career: to make the list, a player must have logged at least 300 singles during their time with the team. That's 117 names: how many can you get? Good luck!
