Good morning!
Well, after several weeks of some pretty harrowing names popping up on ol' Saturday Sporcle, I thought folks might appreciate a slight change of pace. Nearly everybody (probably not pitchers) is a fan of the home run; instead of sorbet, let the long ball serve as today's remise en bouche.
As the title suggests, today's Sporcle will look back on those players to hit 20 home runs in a season. Often, I'll use 1990 as a cut-off point for these types of Sporcles, but I tacked on a couple of decades and so 1970 serves as the new standard. Disco is once again in style, so throw on some Donna Summer and get to work. In all, there are 131 entries: how many can you name? Good luck!

- I'd imagine I'll eventually take this back far enough, but for now he isn't a spoiler: Carl Reynolds logged the first 20 home run campaign in franchise history in 1930, with 22 dingers.
- The first player in baseball's modern era to log a 20 home run season is Frank Schulte in 1911, while playing for the Chicago Cubs. If your immediate thought was that it would be Babe Ruth, you weren't far off: he was third in MLB history in 1919 with 29. (Gavvy Cravath is the middle child, hitting 24 for Philadelphia in 1915)
- In 2021 the Toronto Blue Jays were the team with the most 20 home run seasons, as 7 separate guys accomplished the feat.
