While Lenyn Sosa was withheld from the Birmingham lineup on Wednesday so he could make his way to Chicago, Gavin Sheets was also absent from Charlotte's lineup card.
Between Adam Engel's hamstring and José Abreu's hip, there are a couple of ways for Sheets to find his way back into the mix with the White Sox after spending the last nine games in Charlotte. While that only covers a period of 10 days, the small sample is large enough to accommodate a wild swing in fortunes.
- First three games: 0-for-13, 3 K, 3 GDP
- Last six games: 10-for-24, 4 2B, 2 HR, 2 BB, 3 K
