When Lenyn Sosa returns to the White Sox farm system, he'll be making his debut in Triple-A since the White Sox optioned him to Charlotte.
The Birmingham Barons have adjusted quite well to life without him, as Sleepy Harold mentioned in the summary of last week's action on the farm. They've won five out of six and seven of nine after beating Chattanooga 12-9 in 10 innings, which is all the more impressive considering the Barons trailed the Lookouts 9-2 entering the eighth inning.
José Rodríguez did the driving, going 4-for-4 with a double and scoring three runs from the second spot. He raised his line in June to .309/.340/.361. That's only good for a .701 OPS, which isn't yet quite the pop you'd expect from a Popeye, but it's a 90-point improvement on what he'd done over April and May.
