While Eloy Jiménez's rehab stint is apparently over, the White Sox's high minors will get a replenishment of major-league excitement (and clubhouse spreads) when Yasmani Grandal reports to Birmingham.
James Fegan relayed the road map:
Grandal opened his remarks Tuesday with some news. On Wednesday, He’ll head to Double-A Birmingham, where he will be a designated hitter through the end of the weekend, before migrating to Triple-A Charlotte to begin catching again while being observed by acting manager/catching coordinator Julio Mosquera. Grandal expects to return to the Sox roster after the All-Star break.
