Loidel Chapelli has been one of the consistent bright spots among White Sox prospects in the first weeks of the minor league season.
Now we just need to know whether we can continue using the present tense, or whether he's going to be missing some time.
After singling to raise his average to .500 in the first inning of Winston-Salem's 8-3 loss to Brooklyn, Chapellí swiped second, but he injured his left hand as he slid over the base.
Chapellí initially stayed in the game, but after a pitching change in the top of the second inning, he called for a trainer, and the focus remained on his left pinky finger.
He then departed the game, which at least created the amusing image of Chapellí (listed at 5'8" and 187 pounds) relaying some info to Alsander Womack (listed at 5'9", 205 pounds).
