The White Sox transactions page shows that Billy Hamilton was outrighted off the 40-man roster after four games of his rehab stint with Charlotte (h/t MLB Trade Rumors), and it doesn't make much sense for him to stick around. The remainder of his big-league future seems like it'll be as a pinch-runner for a team that could really use 90 feet in high-leverage situations, but has the kind of outfield arrangement that would never require him to play otherwise.
