White Sox Minor Keys: June 17, 2023

Noah Schultz is probably too far away from the majors to qualify as the best thing going for the White Sox organization in 2023, but I think it's fair to call him the purest thing going.

Schultz stretched out to three innings with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers to no ill effects. He struck out six, and a walk and a balk were the only blemishes on his line.

Baseball America's Josh Norris provided a brief look at Schultz from behind home plate, and it would've been longer were it not for the meddling net, which shifted on him and obscured the view.

As I said the last time we discussed one of his scoreless appearances, it doesn't seem like Low-A hitters aren't going to pose much of a challenge for a healthy Schultz, but they should afford him the opportunity to extend his pitch and innings count in a controlled manner. If they wanted to call him up to Winston-Salem by, say, Aug. 22-27 when the Dash play another series in Bowling Green, I wouldn't complain.

For the time being, Schultz has effectively thrown a total start's worth of baseball over three outings, and the line is impressive: 7 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 12 K.
