Major League Baseball revealed the Futures Game rosters in advance of the July 8 event at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, and Jonathan Cannon will be making the trip as the sole representative of the White Sox.
Cannon doesn't have a whole lot of name recognition outside the Sox system, but last year's third-round pick is having a nice start to his first full professional season, with a 3.27 ERA and 63 strikeouts against 20 walks over 12 starts and 66 innings. The question is whether he'll get in the game, because both teams are carrying nine pitchers for just seven innings.
If you want to watch Cannon in possible action, you'll either have to subscribe to Peacock, or you'll have to wait for it to appear on MLB.tv.
