White Sox prospect Lenyn Sosa

(Laura Wolff / Charlotte Knights)

If you were wondering why Lenyn Sosa hadn't appeared in Charlotte box scores all week, Scott Merkin relayed word from the White Sox that Sosa strained his left oblique, and he'll be out of action for two to three weeks.

At least José Rodríguez was able to soften the blow somewhat, because he returned from the temporarily inactive list and played in his first game of month on Friday. But that's more zero-sum for general organizational health, and not so much for guys who might theoretically be called upon to supplement the 26-man roster at some point over the next month or two.
