Edgar Quero played his first game as a member of the Birmingham Barons on Friday, so his career in the White Sox organization is officially underway. As for other initial assignments for the newest White Sox prospects:
Korey Lee: Will begin a rehab stint for a strained oblique in Charlotte, but could see time in Chicago before the end of the season.
Jordan Leasure: Will start his career with a promotion to Charlotte after striking out a ton of guys at Double-A Tulsa.

- Lenyn Sosa went 1-for-5 with a double and a strikeout.
- Carlos Pérez, 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout.
Biloxi 9, Birmingham 5
- Terrell Tatum went 3-for-5 with a strikeout.
- Alsander Womack, 1-for-3 with a walk and an HBP.
- Edgar Quero made his White Sox organizational debut and went 0-for-4 with a strikeout.
- Yoelqui Céspedes, 0-for-3 with an HBP and two strikeouts.
- Matthew Thompson: 3.2 IP, 6 H, 7 R, 5 ER, 4 BB, 1 K, 1 WP, 44 of 82 pitches for strikes.
Winston-Salem 7, Greensboro 4
- Loidel Chapelli went 2-for-5 with a strikeout.
- Colson Montgomery was 2-for-4 with a homer, double and a walk.
- Wilfred Veras singled and struck out four times. He was picked off/caught stealing.
- DJ Gladney homered, singled twice and struck out once.
- Wes Kath singled, walked and struck out twice.
Kannapolis 5, Delmarva 1
- Brooks Baldwin went 1-for-2 with his 10th homer and two walks.
- Peyton Pallette: 4 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 K, 1 HR, 1 HBP, 40 of 60 pitches for strikes.
ACL White Sox 4, ACL Padres 1 (7 innings)
- Eddie Park singled, walked, got plunked, struck out and stole two bases.
- Ryan Burrowes went 2-for-4 with a strikeout and two stolen bases.
- Jacob Gonzalez went 1-for-3 with a sac fly.
- Calvin Harris, 1-for-3 with a double, walk and strikeout.
- Ronny Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a double.
DSL White Sox 5, DSL Reds 4
- Stiven Flores went 1-for-3 with two walks.
- Abraham Nunez, 1-for-5 with two strikeouts.
- Juan Uribe Jr. walked thrice and struck out once.
