While the White Sox made a high-profile trade that delivered direct competition to Adam Hackenberg, he's benefiting from it so far.
The White Sox's trade for Edgar Quero resulted in a higher-ranked catcher entering the system, but Hackenberg received a promotion to Charlotte since Quero is prioritized for all the plate appearances in Double-A, so it's not all bad.
Hackenberg earned the promotion thanks to his plate discipline, and he notched his first Triple-A hit on Saturday,
