Good morning!
Perusing the various team offensive categories recently, I was shocked unsurprised to notice that no White Sox player currently has more than two triples this season. (Weirdly enough, Andrew Vaughn is one of them; the other is Romy Gonzalez) This got me thinking, however: when was the last time a White Sox batter hit two triples in a game, let alone an entire season?
The answer, actually, is relatively recently: two guys did it for the 2018 White Sox (I think I have a vague memory of one of them, as it came on Opening Day). In franchise history, there have actually been 112 instances, though for today's Sporcle, we're only going back to 1950. I can’t imagine many people would have guessed Ducky Holmes as the 1904 answer, but 1950 is recent enough that I think most folks will be familiar with the names listed past that date. That gives us 45 entries: how many can you name? Good luck!
