Come tonight, Colson Montgomery will officially be able to pick up where he left off at the end of the 2022 season, as James Fox says he'll open a new month back at Birmingham.
Montgomery returns to the Barons having finished with a .500 OBP at each of his two rehab stints. He hit .353/.511/.588 over 10 games in the Arizona Complex League, and followed that up by hitting .348/.537/.552 over 17 games with Winston-Salem.
It looks like he won't be alone in shifting rosters, because Jacob Gonzalez, Calvin Harris and Eddie Park didn't appear in Monday's ACL White Sox game, but a handful of 2023 White Sox draft picks made their pro debuts.
