Good morning!
In case you missed it, Jim linked the other day to a story in The Athletic about the lineage of the highest-paid players in baseball which of course featured that rare outlay of money by Jerry Reinsdorf. That spending netted the franchise one of the finest offensive performances by a White Sox player in the team's history, and one that has yet to be topped.
Despite playing for the Sox just that season and the one which preceded it, Belle tallied 374 hits: still good for ninth-most over the course of the 1990s. What I thought might be fun, then, is to remember other White Sox hitters of that decade. To make the cut for this week's Sporcle, a player must have logged 100 or more hits for the team from 1990-1999. That gives us 36 names: how many can you get? Good luck!
