Good morning!
With the Hall of Fame results officially announced on Tuesday, no players with ties to the White Sox will be inducted come next July. As Jim wrote, though, Mark Buehrle remains on the ballot for at least one more year and who knows? Even though he isn't likely to be voted in by the electorate, it's possible there's a path for him through a future Veteran's Committee.
Outside of Buehrle, Andruw Jones is the only player with ties to the Sox who stands a chance at near future induction. Climbing from 61.6% to 75% in three years is certainly possible as other honorees have made larger jumps in less time. In the long term, Jimmy Rollins remains a player to keep an eye on, especially as voters have to consider his double play partner in Chase Utley.
At any rate, today’s Sporcle tasks you with naming every player in the Hall of Fame to have worn the White Sox uniform at some point in their career. That’s 34 names: how many can you get? Good luck!

- This list only includes guys who played for the team, though there are a couple of guys on this list who went into the Hall of Fame as something other than a player.
- For hints, I’ve provided the tenure of the player in question, and the year they were inducted.
- I’ve allotted 10 minutes for completion attempts.
Useless information to amaze, annoy, confuse, and/or confound your friends and family:
- Four guys not on this list but in the Hall of Fame: Tony LaRussa (manager), Al Lopez (manager), Bob Lemon (in as a player, never played for the Sox, managed them), and Hugh Duffy (in as a player, never played for the Sox, did manage them).
- 16 of these players were inducted via the BBWAA while 14 were through the Veterans Committee. The other 4 were through the Old Timers Committee.
