Danny Mendick won't make or break a White Sox team in a given year -- see 2019-2022 for details -- but when you're seeing what he's doing in Charlotte, and what Lenyn Sosa and Braden Shewmake are offering the club on the 26-man roster, it might be time for a switcheroo.
Mendick has homered in all five games of what's turning into a revenge series against the Syracuse Mets. In the process, he's raised his line from .268/.358/.585 to .317/.388/.817. He has eight homers when the entire White Sox team has 10.
His competition, on the other hand:
- Shewmake: .156/.176/.281 over 34 PA
- Sosa: .143/.167/.200 over 37 PA
