The third and final day of the MLB draft begins at 1 p.m. CT, spanning the 11th through 20th rounds. The White Sox will hold the fourth selection each time, starting with the 319th overall pick and going from there. You can follow the picks on the quick-firing MLB.com audio livestream.
Day 3 selections can be paid up to $150,000 without counting against the draft pool, with only the overages counting against the team's pool money, so the prospect profiles of the early picks tend to be held in higher regard.
For instance, in 2022, the White Sox ended Day 2 by taking college seniors in the eighth, ninth and 10th rounds in order to sign them for low five-figure deals. Mario Camilletti signed for $20,000, with Michael Turner and Tim Elko agreeing to $35,000 apiece. When Day 3 rolled around, they drafted Jacob Burke and Brooks Baldwin, signing them for $225,000 and $125,000, respectively.
The three college seniors signed for a total of $90,000, and the entirety of that amount counted against the pool. Burke and Baldwin signed for $350,000, but only $100,000 counted against the pool (the limit for Day 3 picks rose $25,000 the following year).
