Good morning!
With the All-Star break firmly in the rearview mirror, and Garrett Crochet representing himself well, it's time to see if the White Sox can avoid the modern-day record for most losses in a season. Before doing that nasty bit of business, however, I thought it might be nice for folks to remember other White Sox All-Stars of the past.
This year, I've added an additional ten years onto the White Sox All-Star Sporcle. That makes the quiz go back to 1960: those of a certain age may recall that for a few years in the late-50s and early-60s, two All-Star games were played per year (for player pension-related reasons). So as to avoid unnecessary confusion (did this player appear in just the first ASG, the second, or both games?), everybody is listed just once for that given year even if they appeared in both games. That brings the total number of names to be guessed up to 132. How many can you get? Good luck!
Quiz Parameters
- I’ve allotted 10 minutes for completion attempts.
- For hints, I’ve provided the year and the position of the player.
Useless information to amaze, annoy, confuse, and/or confound your friends and family:
- Pitcher has been the position most often represented by the White Sox over the years as it appears in 53 instances on this list.
- The position represented the fewest times: third base, which has had just 3 players appear since 1960.
