Good morning!
As Jim noted yesterday, former White Sox who play(ed) for the Marlins haven't acquitted themselves all that well of late. It's awfully unfortunate as there seem to be many of us here at Sox Machine who have hoped the former Sox would either A) go on to bigger and better things or B) find renewed success at a place other than Chicago.
While that unfortunately hasn't been the case, it did get me thinking about which White Sox players have also appeared with the Marlins. Should you ever need to go back and complete Immaculate Grid #101 (July 12, 2023), then today's Sporcle will help you to Remember Some Guys! I'm not going to try and make you remember every White Sox/Marlins combo, however; just the players who logged a minimum of 1 bWAR while playing as a member of the White Sox. That amounts to 23 names: how many can you get? Good luck!
Quiz Parameters
- As noted, the player must have accumulated at least 1 bWAR while with the White Sox. Their bWAR with the Marlins, naturally, does not count.
- I've allotted 10 minutes for completion attempts.
- For hints, I've provided the player's tenure with the White Sox, their position, and bWAR accumulated.
Useless information to amaze, annoy, confuse, and/or confound your friends and family:
- By accrued negative value WAR, Andre Rienzo managed to accumulate(?) -1.6 with both clubs; Jon Rauch wasn't far behind at -1.2.
- JB Shuck takes the cake for batters, at -2.1.
