Assuming that the White Sox don't have designs on firing Grady Sizemore, you'll be able to read the product of James' conversation with White Sox farm director Paul Janish about the road map for the most recent draft class later today. It was supposed to run during the off day on Thursday, but Chris Getz had other plans for us.

Louisville 6, Charlotte 4

  • Colson Montgomery went 0-for-3 with two walks.
  • Bryan Ramos was 1-for-3 with a homer and a walk.
  • Tim Elko, 1-for-4 with two strikeouts.
  • Zach DeLoach was 2-for-4 with a double and a strikeout.

Highlights:

*Ramos turned around 93 on the inner half at 107.2 mph.

Birmingham 6, Rocket City 4

  • Jacob Gonzalez went 1-for-4 with a strikeout.
  • Wilfred Veras was 1-for-4 with a homer and a strikeout.
  • DJ Gladney, 2-for-4 with a homer.
  • Tyler Schweitzer: 6 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 4 K, 2 HR, 55 of 78 pitches for strikes.

*Schweitzer shook off getting drilled by a line drive in the first inning.

  • Rikuu Nishida went 1-for-3 with two walks and three stolen bases.
  • William Bergolla, 1-for-3 with a walk, HBP, strikeout and three stolen bases.
  • Ryan Galanie was 0-for-2 with a strikeout, sac fly, HBP and a stolen base.
  • Sammy Zavala walked thrice, struck out once, stole a base ... and was caught stealing.
  • Wes Kath and Eddie Park both were 0-for-4 with a K, although Kath got plunked once.
  • Caden Connor, 2-for-4.
  • Aldrin Batista's High-A debut: 4 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, 1 HBP

Columbia 8, Kannapolis 3 (Completion of Thursday's game)

  • Ryan Burrowes struck out thrice during an 0-for-5 performance.
  • Jeral Perez went 1-for-4 with a strikeout.
  • George Wolkow homered for the first time in a month, adding a single, walk and strikeout.
  • T.J. McCants made his pro debut, going 1-for-4 with a hoer and two strikeouts.
  • Lyle Miller-Green went 1-for-4 with a strikeout.
  • Jackson Appel also debuted, going 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout.
  • Sam Antonacci went 2-for-4 with a strikeout in his first game.
