Good morning!
Today's Sporcle marks the final quiz of the offseason before getting into the annual Opening Day Starters series. As such, I figured everybody could use a fun, fairly easy little number.
With Andruw Jones officially elected into the Hall of Fame, that allows for the opportunity to examine those Sox who hit 300 or more home runs over the course of their career. By my count, that's 26 guys; 9 of those 26 were eventually inducted into the Hall of Fame, in case you were wondering. Your task today, though: name those 26 who played for the White Sox at some point in their career. How many can you get? Good luck!
Quiz Parameters
- I've allotted 10 minutes for completion attempts.
- For hints, I've provided their White Sox tenure and career home run totals.
Useless information to amaze, annoy, confuse, and/or confound your friends and family:
- In baseball history, 165 players have hit 300 or more home runs.
- Giancarlo Stanton is MLB's active leader with 453 home runs.
- Marcell Ozuna (296), George Springer (293), and Mookie Betts (291) are likely the next 300 home run members, with Matt Olson (288), Jose Ramirez (285), and Shohei Ohtani (280) hot on their heels.
