      • Jordan Danks had the Knights' lone hit; he also drew a walk and struck out.
      • Hitless: Tyler Flowers (two K's), Alejandro De Aza (one K) and Brent Morel.
      • Daniel Hudson was good, but not efficient: 5 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 1 HR, 100 pitches.
    • Birmingham 10, Montgomery 7
      • Christian Marrero went 1-for-4 with a triple, walk, strikeout and two RBI.
      • Jim Gallagher isn't a prospect, but he's on a helluva tear: 4-for-5 with a double and an RBI.
      • Justin Greene was 0-for-4 with an RBI and a strikeout.
      • C.J. Retherford had two singles over five at-bats, including an RBI.
    • Winston-Salem 5, Lynchburg 3
      • Chris Sale struck out a batter in a 1-2-3 inning.
      • Brandon Short went 2-for-5 with a strikeout; Eduardo Escobar 2-for-4.
      • Jon Gilmore (one walk, one strikeout) and Jose Martinez (two K's) were both 0-for-4.
      • Charles Leesman somehow threw five scoreless innings despite allowing six hits and four walks. He struck out only two.
      • Santos Rodriguez had big problems, allowing two hits and three walks while retiring just two batters (both by strikeout).

      • Brady Shoemaker homered, singled, drove in two and struck out twice.
      • Kyle Colligan went 2-for-4 with a strikeout.
      • Justin Collop pitched seven strong, allowign two runs on six hits while striking out three.
