The Sox opened up their second half with a thrilling 8-7 victory over Minnesota, and after watching a deep drive die on the warning track and a key grounder fail to escape the infield, it seems to me that Target Field might be exactly what everybody besides the Twins hoped it would be.

- Steven Upchurch: 6 2/3 IP, 9 H, 4 ER, 0 BB, 2 K. He allowed three of those runs in the seventh.
