Good morning!
As I write this on Friday, the White Sox are in somewhat of a drought. Now, "drought" can mean a variety of things when it comes to this franchise from, "The White Sox are currently in a drought of competent ownership and front office management" to "The White Sox' World Series drought is now seventeen years and counting".
But no, nothing so prolonged as the two examples above. What got me started was trying to remember if the Sox had hit a walk off home run yet this season. And the answer is no! The last time the team had one of those was on September 12, 2021. Now, of course, there is still time this season to get one in but if they don't, this will mark the first walk off-less season since that fateful 2016 campaign.
