OPP’ers provide their thoughts on the current White Sox team

I tried to create a paragraph on the White Sox by taking the exact comments from the OPP'ers who submitted their current description and feelings of the team in their entries. These are not my words; they are the words of die-hard, real Sox fans who for some reason...still care on what happens!

The Sox were who we thought they were; terrible, horrible, a mess, no, an objective mess, better yet, an absolute mess. Not only does this team suck but absolutely sucks. They really are a shit-hole team that's bad, boring, in a ditch and the gutter at the same time while simultaneously, coming straight out of the garbage. They offer little hope which is leaving an awful taste. While we dislike this team, we were hoping they could just try to be watchable. Can a team be beyond disappointing? How about pathetic and embarrassing?  Can we blow up this team?  How did this happen or even get this bleak where an overhaul is needed?  We may even need to burn it all to the ground because we don't have that much to work with here or even see a realistic path, just trying to get to mediocrity.  Mediocrity would require a massive investment and significant overhaul in effort and culture.  The Sox are not going to be competitive and will not even get close to being competitive during this funny contention window.  Because there is not enough organizational depth, we receive no inspiration or confidence in the front office.  It's depressing.  We're a complete joke of an organization with too many holes to fill with too many weaknesses that needs work at EVERY position.  Two decades of bad decisions have resulted in building a pathetic farm system where even the recently promoted Farm Director says he dislikes the team which includes the farm system.  Not only do we have a bad manager, but we also have a Terry Bevington bad manager.  Installing poor work ethics resulted in the inability to perform the most basic baseball tasks and becoming both bad on and off the field.  Half the roster still needs to be replaced as there are still some cancers remaining on the team.  The team needs more depth, speed, defense and athleticism.  The roster is filled with slow runners, bad fielders, no power, terrible OBP and are even sketchy in their physical condition.  The starting pitching that sometimes gets into the 5th inning is complimented with a disaster of scrubs in the bullpen.  Other than that, we're good!  But, expect the Sox to sign a few mid-tier free agents and make a couple of inconsequential trades.  Basically, expect some underwhelming names to be signed because...the owner expects to be competitive in 2024.

Thanks OPP'ers for your comments!
