White Sox Minor Keys: April 16, 2025

White Sox prospect Kyle Teel

Kyle Teel celebrates with Corey Julks and Chase Meidroth following his three-run homer on Saturday.

Whether Edgar Quero sticks at the major league level for good after his impending promotion -- and we have an article lined up from James about the state of Quero's game a couple hours from now -- he won't be the only one to benefit from it.

With Quero in Chicago, Kyle Teel will resume the normal development track by catching (almost) every day. Up until this point, he hadn't caught two days in a row, alternating between DH and defense over the first 16 games of the season. The regulated irregular schedule probably isn't the reason why he's off to a slow start, hitting .196/.328/.393 over his first 67 plate appearances, but as long Quero is in Chicago, it can't be used an an excuse.
