White Sox Minor Keys: April 24, 2025

Truist Stadium in Winston-Salem

You might not know it by the final score, but four Winston-Salem Dash pitchers combined to throw the 16th no-hitter in franchise history in their 12-2 victory over the Rome Emperors on Thursday.

Tommy Vail, Frankeli Arias, Madison Jeffrey and Joseph Yabbour combined to strike out 13 over nine innings, allowing just four walks and three HBPs.

Most of the free bases were issued over the final two innings, which is how Rome was able to spoil the shutout. Jeffrey plunked the first batter he faced in the eighth, followed by three consecutive out-one walks which forced home the first run. A second run came home on a sacrifice fly.

Yabbour then plunked a couple of hitters with one out in the ninth, but stranded them with his two strikeouts to seal the deal.

The final lines for the arms involved:

  • Vail: 4 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K
