Prior to tonight's game, the White Sox optioned Sean Burke to Charlotte, meaning that 40 percent of the team's Opening Day rotation is in Triple-A, including the Opening Day starter. Owen White has been called up to take his place and provide a fresh arm.
Burke is at a career high in innings with 117⅔, but he's failed to complete five innings in four of his last five starts, and has been knocked out of the game in the fourth inning the last two times out. Martín Perez will start Wednesday, and Aaron Civale will pitch against Minnesota on Friday.
