The Birmingham Barons took five of six games against the Rocket City Trash Pandas this week, and Sunday's victory stands a chance of being the Most Barons Win of the season to date. It featured:

*Shane Murphy suffering minimal damage while throwing a minimum of pitches over five innings. He allowed a solo shot for his only run, but managed to strand runners on second and third with nobody out in the fifth despite two defensive miscues to start the inning.

*Birmingham scoring all its run in one inning -- in this case, a three-run sixth. The frame opened with three straight singles, and the Barons tied it up on a William Bergolla bunt single that was thrown away.

*Ryan Galanie owning the only two RBIs, which he collected on a double to knock home the other runs that inning. He's up to 60 RBIs in 80 games with the Barons despite just six homers.

The only way it could've been More Barons is if Galanie drove in both runs on a single, rather than an extra-base hit. The best never stop looking for a way to improve.
